2) What information we collect

When you install and use CutSizeGenie, we may access and process certain Shopify store data to provide app functionality. The exact data depends on the permissions (scopes) you approve during installation.

A) Shopify store data (merchant data)

• Store identity: shop domain, store name, store email (if provided by Shopify)
• Products & variants: titles, SKUs, option names/values (sizes), variant IDs
• Inventory & locations: inventory levels, location IDs/names
• Orders: order IDs, line items (product/variant IDs, quantities), order tags/metadata needed to detect virtual items
• Webhooks: events like inventory updates and order creation, where enabled

B) App-generated operational data

• Size mapping rules you create inside the app
• Virtual inventory push logs (for audit and troubleshooting)
• Virtual order logs (to help operations identify which source size was used)
• App usage and error logs (for reliability and support)

C) Website/contact data

• If you email us, we receive your email address and the message content.
• We may store basic support details to respond and resolve issues.

3) How we use information

We use the data only to provide and improve CutSizeGenie’s functionality, including:

• Creating and applying size mappings and virtual inventory behavior
• Updating inventory safely according to the rules you configured
• Logging “virtual” orders for operations visibility
• Providing dashboards/visibility (if enabled)
• Customer support, debugging, and reliability improvements
• Security, fraud prevention, and abuse prevention

4) What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your store data to third parties.
• We do not use your store data to advertise to your customers.
• We do not access payment card data (Shopify handles billing).

5) Data sharing & subprocessors

We may share limited data only when necessary to run the app and provide support, such as:

• Shopify (platform APIs and billing flows)
• Hosting/Infrastructure (servers/databases where the app runs)
• Email/Support tools (to communicate with you, if used)

6) Data retention

We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service and comply with legal obligations. Typically:

• Store configuration and mappings are kept while the app is installed.
• Operational logs may be retained for a reasonable period for audit/support.
• If you uninstall the app, we may delete or anonymize store data within a reasonable time, unless required to retain it for legal reasons.

7) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

8) Your rights & requests

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your data.

9) International transfers
